Fairytale place!

I spent a weekend at this wonderful property. There are no words except wonderful to recommend coming here. Also the place where it is located, at the entrance of Assisi so convenient. The rooms are comfortable, cozy and warm with fabulous beds and pillows. The Spa beautiful and equipped. Great breakfast and super friendly staff!

Little satisfaction with the service and disappointment for the lack of recovery of the Customer

We stayed in the Hotel from 02 to 05/01, in a junior Suite on the first floor (double bedroom, sitting room with single bed in addition for our daughter, 1 bathroom with shower).
Upon arrival we left the car in the parking lot of the garden (on top of the night the cost of 20 euros / day) as finished the place in the garage.
Perfect assistance for the porter of luggage and excellent reception by the Reception Staff, with a drink offer at the welcome bar.
The Junior suite was tidy and well furnished (contemporary design with the addition of elegant and simple decorations, as well as vases and amphorae of value, of local manufacture.
However, not insignificantly, there were a number of shortcomings in terms of both hygiene and service, when we consider the huge sum spent on three nights for bed and breakfast only (EUR 2,300). Expenditure incurred elsewhere, including abroad, e.g. Relais Chateaux or Châteaux de la Loire, but for a much higher service and at least with dinner included for 4 pax.
The minuses detected:
1-Dirty bathroom , promptly reported at reception to the Supervisor (she apologized adding that the Facility would soon close, to which I replied that we had paid full rate and to an adequate standard anyway. At this point the very kind and friendly Lady told me that I was right and that in the end she would review the outlay...) unfortunately after three days the bathroom remained so. On the morning of J.03 we go for breakfast (of a very good level), at the restaurant we find that a couple could not sit because there was no table for her (never happened elsewhere even in the three-star category that we usually frequent. In 15 / 20 minutes we go back to the room that with amazement had already been done and , not only I realize that the shower had not been cleaned at all and that a bottle of detergent was left on the plate and so on two other seeds consumed in the basket (among other things we had reported that on the sink were present on arrival only 4 vials (1 per type) but for 3 insufficient people and here they promptly supplied us) , but even I notice stains of water and limestone under the toilet brush, I report it msa nothing so remained as no one has bothered to clean it with an ad hoc product but also simply with an anti-limescale spray or terracotta floor cleaner / Water bottles of the night before (one courtesy while instead one for a fee) with almost zero quantities forgotten on the shelf in the living room and not replaced
-2 mattress not sufficiently stiff with linen sheet but whose transparency gave a glimpse of the bamboo mattress cover (as it had decorations and logo in pistachio green)
-3 poor equipment of wooden hangers in the wardrobe (but just ask and they arrive)
-4 blanket in the drawer without ad hoc protection and with a slight moist smell (while the pumino was protected instead)
-5 low light in the bathroom , very difficult to wear makeup in the bathroom, as the horizontal light is placed only on the top of the mirror , which is really too high (2,60,2,70 cm from the ground- even for my husband h. mt.1,90), in greasy additions to see better there is the square lamp protruding laterally but also with a magnifying function rather than a source of real lighting
-6 SpA although very fascinating as it was built under ancient walls , too crowded and without any planning of flows / hygiene in the Spa not excellent rather rather rather summary (cups and glasses left around), the whirlpool is small to the maximum can fit 6 pax. but already at the limit and a little leaned considering the access of entry and exit / lack of control by the Staff to the customers for example in case of illness (whereas in the Sauna the temperature is rightly around 70 degrees etc.)
-7 the evening of day 3 or 4/01 I request a ti, healthy, kindly the bartender offers to accompany me and bring me the herbal tea in the room on whose tray had also been put a mini jar of honey. In consuming it and opening the jar I realize that the same had the paper die already broken and therefore I deduce that probably the honey was a leftover (from the breakfast banquet ?!) or the waiter had opened it in a flash of a second while I looked at it without telling me or wondering if I liked it?
-8 at the end, despite a lot of courtesy and intent to "recover" by the frontline staff, I was not charged 3 days of garage (60 euros and some extra minimum including one or 2 mineral waters) then we left with a coffee offered to me after check-in and three plastic bottles of water for the trip, but frankly, considering what I had been told at the beginning and at the time of my clear representations, I would have expected at least a refund of 15-20%. Or a free voucher to spend in SpA (or possibly a free night for two in low season in a standard room).
This would have meant so much to us, or would have shown me the desire to bring back a second time a new customer who with honesty and constructiveness had reported what he thought was not going.
In short, I felt in a place almost far from the concept of Hotellerie, which if on the one hand can make you feel a bit at home and make you leave from such a beautiful and sought after place, on the other hand you do not explain how it can belong to a 5 Star category, apart from location, rate and Staff in livery
as already mentioned the Staff is very courteous and kind eriesce to keep the smile and kindness despite the undoubted flaws reported and this is a merit, so I wish to arm themselves with good patience and stubbornness to solve the best.
Location, however, of great charm, also outdoor garden and outdoor relaxation area (to insert a swimming pool) , indoor living rooms also private of which the one mignon at the bottom with the fireplace, for a magnificent quiet and reading. View of the Basilica...
Greetings in hope, trusting that my thorough review will be taken in the proper constructive spirit.
Companies are made of men and we humans by definition are wrong!

Hotel - atmosphere!

If you are looking for something special and unlike anything else. Something that will be remembered for a long time by the impression of style, originality, and quality of service is here for you. A hotel steeped in history and modern impeccable style, with magnificent views over the rooftops of the charming city, with a small but very high-quality spa and an excellent restaurant.
Hotel - atmosphere! I recommend.

An unforgettable place , I review it now because I spoke about it and , although some time has passed , it remains one of the places of the heart . Striking rooms , quiet and well-kept place , impeccable breakfast with plenty of choice . Suggestion , beauty and attention to detail .
