Spectacular and private
We were invited by a local friend who took us by surprise to this hidden gem. It is located in a rural mountainous landscape and is accessible just by a 4 wheel drive car through a 4km non paved partly steep and narrow path. The Al Qattara lies above the main path and overlooks a valley with direct view on the Jamal Shams the highest mountain in Oman. Sunset and Sunrise offer spectacular colors on the surrounding mountain range . The Hotel provides just 4 units, so it’s very private. The rooms have view to the mountains or are built in the mountain. We loved it and it’s just spectacular

Relax in the mountains
We spent one night here during our trip to Oman.
The property is very nice, nestled in the mountains.
The pool is not heated, while the whirlpool is, so you can swim even at this time of year, in the less hot hours of the day.
The staff is friendly, although they don't speak a word of English and it's not easy to communicate.
Upon our arrival they just accompanied us to the room, without telling us what time it was neither dinner nor what time it was breakfast and without providing us with other info about the structure...
To overcome this inconvenience, it would be enough, in my opinion, to put a sheet in rooms with all the written info.
Dinner and breakfast were good and quite varied.
You eat a single table, with all the other guests of the structure, which is very nice and allows you to make friends and have a word with other people.
The area is isolated, unfortunately we were not able to do any activities, but there are several interesting proposals (hiking and canyoning), from what they told us, very nice.
