A wonderful stay !
First of all, the welcome is outstanding : you won't wait at the desk for the check in, just sit in the comfortable lounge, where a welcome drink and your keys will be brought.
The room is huge, nearly 50 sqm ! and a big bathroom, with stair ! Because in Sri Lanka, no room can be done without a stair...
We had a very nice buffet breakfast (I thought I could have yoghurt as the hotel of the same chain, but there wasn't).
We had also cocktails in the huge lounge so beautifully decorated.
The last night the manager resident of the hotel asked me a few questions, and we were offered a glass of wine. We could discuss about what could be improved.. and even about the future project for a huge terrace in order to double the surface of the restaurant. That is a wonderful idea as there's a lot of unoccupied space !
On our departure, we had the pleasure to say goodbye to Sura and his team.
This relationship makes our journey in the Oak Ray Regency, awesome, and I am sure we will keep in touch and probably, I will visit them when the terrace project is done !

Nice hotel but bathroom stank in room 304
Hotel looks lovely next to a river. Lovely roof top pool. Wi-Fi good in room. AC and fan and kettle in room. No fridge. Balcony for seating lovely touch. Buffet breakfast average. About 1 hour walk to centre of Kandy. Staff helpful and friendly.

beautiful but noisy
when we arrive, we say wow! it's beautiful, the rooms are excessive in size, the meals:no complaints, there was something for everyone. on the other hand, big flat: very noisy. noise, until midnight and it starts again around 4 or 5 o'clock. the road that passes in front is very transient and noisy. pity!!

Not a nice experiance.
I expected a beter hotel! No change of towels, no refill of coffee and tea in the room. Towels at the pool completly worn out! And in the evening somebody is chopping food with the noise thats not acceptable. The buffet is good, the omeletbar will have a long que.

I recommend this hotel
Super welcome by management, helpful (a wifi connection problem was solved immediately).
The rooms are huge, equipped with air conditioning and fan. The 2 beds are 2 m wide!
Breakfast is full.
