Great staff, friendly and helpful

I stayed here two nights for work. Unfortunately, the elevator was out of service both days. Since all rooms are located on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors that meant using stairs. I needed help with my suitcase, but they provided it.
Room was large and comfortable it got very hot in the afternoon, leave your curtains closed if you don't like to sweat. Lots of outlets and ways to charge devices.
Good stores within a close walk.

Amazing stay! After a long day of travel ( from California) we were greeted by the happiest person on the planet, Valerie! Your staff does a wonderful job of making you feel like family, not a customer. The room was great, clean comfortable and inviting! I’ll be coming to Vermont for the next 4 years (daughter will be attending Norwich) and you will definitely be my first choice of places to stay!

Lovely hotel convenient to everything in town

I stayed here for three nights during the winter time, and highly enjoyed my visit to a cold Vermont! The hotel was centrally located in downtown Montpelier, and had nice views of the local surrounding streets. I was in a double queen room for the first night, and got upgraded to one of the nicest rooms in hotel for the final two nights.
The regular double queen room was clean, well appointed, with a comfortable bed. Temperature controls functioned perfectly, and it was a nice night of sleep. The upgrade to the nicer room on the final two nights was quite the experience! The room had a very large living room attached to a really large bedroom, and the bathroom was huge with a shower, a bathtub, a heated towel rack, heated toilet seat, and a heated floor! I’ve never known the joy of a heated floor before, but now it’s a joy that I’ll always remember!
Hotel front desk staff were very kind, and accommodating of any needs. The staff at the hotel restaurant, though were a bit of a different story: it felt as if I couldn’t find a single person working in the restaurant who was happy to be there, and the food wasn’t really much to write home about either
The hotel had gated lot daily parking that cost $12 a day behind the hotel. As far as I could tell, there was no way to take it off of the room bill; there was no avoiding it even if i wanted to park elsewhere (and I couldn’t find a parking spot in town that I was confident to park in without being towed).
The hotel elevator was out of service during my stay, but walking up the stairs three floors to my bedroom was not so bad. Overall, a great stay and would gladly stay here again!

We checked in late night, so I understand a tired employee. But the employee was rude at check in. Also the bathroom door didn’t close which was alarming. Lastly, the elevators weren’t working which wasn’t ideal.
