Very clean large apartment and communal areas - great location and perfect for our visit. Quiet and peaceful in the evening.

Basically an Airbnb rooms were clean and convenient location but doesn’t feel cozy it feels like it was put together by a soulless person

Staying at the Soner in Montreal, think twice and make sure you read the fine print and ask the right questions.
When you spend $371.00 you would expect a few amenities to come with your stay. I was in Montreal on business and when I checked in I knew that this was a DIY hospitality provider but what I did not know as no one mentioned this on the reservation line, is that there was no housekeeping services, no one to speak to unless I waited almost a half an hour on the phone, not enough furniture to store anything, other than a cupboard with a very few hangers, Not a shelf, not a desk, not a night table with drawers, not a dresser with drawers. Horribly uncomfortable bed, and no safety box. When I was told that cleaning was extra if I wanted to book it, my mouth dropped in unexpected shock. I have never stayed anywhere without a cleaning service and this was the very first and last time that I ever will. I felt cheated and taken advantage of. I was to told to read the fine print. It took me over an hour to cancel my next 3 nights and book another hotel where everything was fabulous and welcoming. This is not a low budget property, its a gauging property with no conscience. Considering its now owned by Marriott Bonvoy, something needs to be seriously done to make this a better experience that garners better reviews.

Easy to recommend for quality and location.
Comfortable, fresh, well-equipped suite in a great location for exploring Montreal. Easy walking distance to Old Montreal, downtown, and other key sites, plus the Metro. Even the sofa bed was comfortable for a youth. Excellent customer service via chat, too.

Excellent choice for us!
We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment – it had everything we needed! The bathroom was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The kitchen had dish soap and a sponge for washing dishes, and there was also a washing machine with 3 or 4 detergent capsules provided. There was a coffee maker with some coffee and sugar, which was a very nice touch.
I received the access codes for the building and the apartment the day before check-in and saved them. However, when I arrived, the code didn’t work, which was quite stressful! I checked the app and found a different code there – it worked, but I’m still not sure why they sent one code and then changed it.
The same code gives you access to the building for the rest of the day after check-out (even though you need to leave the apartment by 11 AM). This is very convenient, as there’s a storage room and a bathroom available for use.
The neighborhood is also very nice.
I would definitely recommend staying here!
