The Tap has problem when we open the tap was fall and the satff cannot solve the problem and educated us how the use the tap water by Hold the all Tap cover (Actually if normal Tap we just lift it up when open )
Also the water stuct in washbasin. We requested to change the room but the staff denied and look not kind
(But the night shift staff was friendly and the housekeeping were really kind)

Not happy with the unfair treating although we made booking well advance 3 weeks ago for a low season travel period.
We requested for a room with two single beds. This type of room was not available at our arrival at 1pm. My friends requested for a king single bed and had been provided with a nice and bright city view room on the middle level on lvl 12. The room is clean and bright with a city view. So, I do look forward to having my hotel room on the same level later as my friend booked for 2 rooms online 3 weeks ago via a travel website.
We came back to claim our room at 5.30 pm. Concierge desk said there was no more room left for 2 single beds room on level 12 nor other floors.
Then the concierge provided us with a king size bed room which could be made into a two single beds, located on a lower level, lvl 6. When we entered into level 6, the room was set up with a king size bed. It was dark because it faced to a grey building wall that blocked with no view. It is at the end of the building, that is close to the gym room corner side of which locates on lvl 1. In the morning around 7.30am, I could hear restructuring noise although I was sleeping.
I was totally affected by the concierge who were so careless for not keeping a room for us on the same level with my friends and he booked the hotel rooms under his name.
I complainted this arrangement with this hotel's senior manager the following day. He said that he had made a note for my complaint. He will upgrade my friend's booking next time to an excecutive studio.
What a ridicious answer! I am the person to suffer a low standard of hotel room but receive no discount nor other offer to compensate my payment value. The manager will offer a better room to my friends for his next stay in this hotel because the booking is under his name.
What would be my offer for a better upgrade if I would book this hotel next time?
Indeed, I don't have any faith with this comment. It is most unlikely that I will stay with this hotel again. In fact, location of Citadines Melbourne is convenient to access local town sight seeing and tram.
However, behind this hotel, there are Stamford Hotel and Next Hotel.

Please accept my sincere apologies for the less than satisfactory nature of your recent stay with us at Citadines on Bourke Melbourne. It would seem obvious from your comments that there has been clear lack of effective communication by our team and that this matter could have been handled with much greater sensitivity. This is indeed most disappointing and I can only apologise again that your concerns were not addressed and resolved in a more satisfactory manner.
Without going through the specific details of the confusion that surrounded you reservations, I can confirm that there would not have been a second twin room available on the 12th floor, due to the configuration of the rooms on that level. However what should have been done is for both of your rooms to have been allocated to an appropriate level in the first instance so that this matter was avoided entirely. Failing that, once the oversight became obvious, a much clearer explanation should have been provided and suitable alternative offered for yo to consider the most suitable arrangement.

Tired and basic accommodation - but staff good

Thanks for staying with us and sharing your feedback on TripAdvisor. and I'm sorry to hear that you did not find Citadines on Bourke Melbourne entirely to your liking. Being so centrally located does mean that we do have some very close neighbors but we do have our Executive apartments which do provide views so you might consider one of those should you be back our way in the future. Our location also places us right in the middle of all the best that Melbourne has to offer and I do hope you made the most of your time in our city.
