Recommended for a stay in Bandung!
Great location, nice concept, but rooms are a little bit small, similar to other Moxy hotels.
I like the lobby setting, very playful, while breakfast served were good with choices of local food like nasi goreng.
I got the chance to jog in the morning during car free morning in Sunday, it's a nice experience!

budget hotel but expensive
Staying there for a week, the room is very narrow, there is no proper desk, no closet, no fridge, no electric water heater, if you want hot water to get out first, does not provide amenities such as a shower cap (must call first) hotel is rich budget hotel but expensive.
They give you extra towels and towels, but that doesn't make up for basic needs like wardrobes, thermos, and basic amenities.
I went to the moxy bar and waited a long time for the meal to be prepared, finally we asked the waitress to deliver his order to the room.
A week of living there without a closet, a room that feels like a mess with clothes hanging, a table that's a mess because it's where you store everything from glasses, drinks, coffee sachet, drinks and other small things.
Thankfully, the breakfast menu is very good, just for a week there the taste is hard, not ripe. There is an automatic coffee machine but can't make a latte.

Good stay but things can be improved
When it comes to Marriott Bonvoy brands, Moxy is normally at the bottom of my list. I just don't get the concept of mid-range, minimalistic, industrial-design, infused with hipster-vibes would work for my introvert travel style. However, I'm still curious about it and tried it for a whooping 7-nights stays. Turns out it's kind of cool experience.
1. Location: Moxy Bandung located in Juanda area, right at the major intersection. While this location offers plenty of dining options and coffee shops, this can be also a drwaback. The Juanda intersections is notoriously famous because it's always busy with traffic even at late night. Noise is a big deal, more on that later on.
2. Lobby/Reception: The lobby area is one of the highlights of Moxy. They really make it like it's an epicenter of different kind of activities. There is no front-desk, but you check-in at the bar. There are some board games, pool table, photo booth, claw-machine, a human-size teddy bear, and so on. The mezzanine level itself is more functioning as a co-working space which I used it more often. The crews are filled with young people yet ready to take care of all of the guests. No fancy uniforms, just a cool black T-shirt. I do wish they wear some name tags so we can address them in case we need anything or just to send them compliments. Overall, I'm impressed and start getting the vibe.
3. Room: This is a mid-range hotel so I don't expect any upgrades for every mid-range hotel as the number of premium rooms pretty much limited, however, I'm surprised that they still trying to compensate me because they cannot upgrade me by offrering a second welcome gift (free breakfast, points, or welcome amenities) which I appreciate (most hotels they just say "sorry"). The standard queen-bed size room is small at 20 sqm, but I'm a lone traveler so not a big deal for me. The room design especially the furniture has some IKEA vibes, but not a big deal. Even after I unfold the luggage rack, table, and chair, I still got enough space. However, I'm not a fan of the bean bag, it's so difficult to adjust and getting the comfort that I want. It's also blocking the light switch for the standing light. Lucikly the bed is comfortable! The bathroom has decent size. Shower has a good water pressure but unfortunately both rain and hand shower head are full of dirts. They provide 2 water bottles but if you need more water, you can go to ironing room and fill up the water jug on your own - clever idea. Mind you there is no fridge and no electric water kettle. You have to asked for the electric water kettle and availability is limited. The view from the 8th (if I remember correctly) is good, I can see greenery and mountains, but my room is facing exactly at the intersection. The wall and windows can't block much noise from the outside. Sometimes they also have some events on the rooftop bar and I definitely can hear the noise. So, if you're a light sleeper then I definitely recommend ask for some earplugs.
4. Lobby Restaurant: The breakfast served at the lobby restaurant, I stayed during ramadan and they do have suhoor service. I think the food option is decent, not too overwhelming, and they do have eggs and instant noodle corner. My feedback is the coffee machine, they only have one and it's very slow. Also the pull-cap glass bottle for the juice is not really my favorite, too much hassle just to open and close the cap. Food taste is not amazing but decent. The crew are friendly as usual.
5. Moxy Sky: While the Moxy Sky offers good view and good vibe, I'm disappointed that they only offer dinner buffet service during Ramadan usually targeted for group dining for break fasting. I think this is pretty much the same problem for many hotels in Indonesia. I normally avoid buffet, especially during break fasting time as it's too noisy, hectic, as well chaotic. I also always having proper dinner sometimes after 7pm where the crowds starts leaving. However, it is sad that the restaurant don't have ala carte service, not until 10pm which is dissapointing. They do offer in-room dining but I prefer to sit-in and enjoy the evening view.
My final verdict, I'm enjoying my 7-nights stays despite of some issues that I have mentioned here. I do appreciate all the crew from the lobby, housekeeping, and so on, they are young but they really working hard to make all kind of guests (hipster or not) comfortable. They pretty much can't do much on the noise issue, but I do wish they can improve on other things. All the best Moxy Bandung!
