The staff were all friendly and the food was delicious

This time, I went on a trip to see my grandchildren, and from the time I made the reservation until I arrived at the hotel, the staff were always smiling and polite. The breakfast buffet was also great value for money. Thank you very much.

Far from being a Palace.

This hotel needs a good clean. Carpet needs replacing. And aircon was set on hot and you were unable to change. We slept with our windows open. Breakfast was okay. Beds were the usual hard mattress. Tv was the size of a small computer screen. We were on a Tripadeal, so had no choice of Hotel. This is definitely not one I would recommend.

Basic but nice!

We stayed one night here on our tour in August. This city is pretty far out from the main attractions in the area so I don't know why we stopped here. Our room was spacious and clean but a little outdated. Still comfortable though. The gentleman at the reception desk was very helpful in pointing out a few restaurants near the train station that he recommended. Unfortunately we were there on a Saturday night and none of the restaurants would take us with no reservations. Breakfast at the hotel was wonderful, not only the choices of food but also the views on the top floor restaurant. Seemed like the whole city was under our feet. Walking distance to the train station which seemed to be the busiest part of the city.

Great stay for a business trip

We were a group of 7 and stayed in the hotel for 7 nights. The air-conditioner was down for the time, but we got a discount for room charges and got fans equipped in each room. The hotel staff was very helpful and the breakfast was delicious. There was not much to do around the neighborhood, but if you got a bit of time, the Chiryu Shrine is worth a visit. 15-min walk from the hotel.

Not bad, but not great.More of a 2.5

I'm writing this as I'm staying at the hotel. This is a classic example of a property built during the late 90's property bubble here in Japan, and not updated since that time from appearances. The rooms are clean and kept up, but everything in here looks to be original from when the hotel was new. This includes fraved carpets in the halls, the insert the key in a holder to make the lights work system and a decor that says 90's hotel.
The rooms are about what you would expect from a Fairfield Inn or a more basic HI Express, and are not bad in size and closer to a US size, just they really could use an updating. The basic Japanese resturant was very good and they do offer a decent breakfast, and the room rate is great. Staff here is very friendly & the place is close to the Chiryu station, but other than that there is not much around here. If you are staying here you must be staying for work or you skipped a bunch of better places to go in Japan.
Overall if they had 1/2 rankings for the site I would give it a 2.5 as it's just barely below average. With a remodel this place could be something worth ranking much higher.
