According to government policy, hotels are now open for staycations and any other travel purposes. Hotels will only accept Malaysian nationals and foreigners who are residents of Malaysia, and guests must be categorized as low-risk on the MySejahtera app. Those from EMCO (enhanced movement control order) areas are not permitted to stay at the hotel. To comply with these regulations, all guests are required to show a digital certificate in the MySejahtera app which proves they are fully vaccinated. For vaccines with two doses, guests will be considered fully vaccinated after the 14th day of receiving the second dose. For single-dose vaccines, guests will be considered fully vaccinated 28 days after receiving the vaccine. Guests are only allowed to travel with non-vaccinated dependents who are 18 years old and under if they are members of the same household. According to government policy, if guests cannot provide relevant documents (such as a travel permit issued by the police, hotel confirmation letter, company letter, flight ticket, ferry ticket, MITI letter, or proof of a negative COVID-19 test result issued within the past 48 hours), they may not be allowed to check in at the hotel. Cancellations will be subject to the hotel's policies and guidelines. According to government policy, if traveling by air or sea, all travelers (including children) must present proof of a negative RT-PCR or RTK-Antigen test result, issued within the past 48 hours, at the airport or ferry terminal before departure.
