Hotel and restaurant above all odds

Characteristic, simple but complete with every comfort. Complimentary mineral water in the room. Restaurant with excellent dishes, local, tasty and plentiful. Menu with choice even though we were with Half Pension formula, so very convenient. Excellent quality/prices. Do not miss if you come here!

We didn’t stay at Le Cheval Blanc as it was closed for holidays, Hotels.com advised of a nearby chambres d’hôtes and we stayed there ‘Au clos de Charny’ which was lovely, our only problem was our room was up two flights of steep stairs. The room was spacious and clean with a large comfortable bed, a very nice shower room with a good shower. The breakfast was superb, a great choice of cheeses and charcuterie, breads, homemade jams, fresh fruit salad and yoghurt. The host is a lovely lady too.

Excellent place to stay

An enjoyable stay. the room was well appointed , very clean . Bathroom was excellent. beds comfortable and heating available if it was needed. the restaurant could not be faulted, the menu choice excellent and the food well cooked and nicely presented . we wish that coffee and tea was available in the bedroom.

Great discovery!

Nice and warm place. From the welcome to the quality of the dishes, including the service and the atmosphere of the restaurant, everything was perfect. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was plentiful. The prices are very correct. We will definitely return.

Neither white horse nor Henry IV but don't hesitate to stop there

Very nice hotel booked very late at the end of July for a simple but perfect room. On the ground floor on the rear side but perfectly quiet. The front facade overlooks an old market hall where even the Sunday morning market is very discreet. Attentive staff. I was able to dine there although I arrived slightly after the cut-off time.
