Between the Nationale and the railway
Wedged between a busy main road and a railway, we are in noise hell. Hotel without bar, no boron a gin&tonic. Impossible to stand by the pool: too many mosquitoes!!

Contrasted opinion .Charming hotel but very noisy
But the problem is the noise as the hotel is caught in between a busy 4 lanes highway and a railway track that passes just behind the hotel. First train around 5pm.

We regret, however, that the noise from the surrounding area affected your stay. Our unique location in the heart of Kandy does mean that we are situated near a busy highway and a railway track, which can bring occasional ambient noise. While many of our guests find that these subtle sounds add to the local character, we understand that they can be disruptive for those seeking a quieter environment.

Very nice hotel and top service!
Just one thing, you have to take quiescent balls if your sleep is light, because you can hear the passing train.
