adorable et abordable

un peu à la sortie de Tulcea, un peu compliqué à trouver, une route non goudronnée et défoncée.
Mais passé ce site industriel, une affreuse cimenterie toute proche, l'endroit est paradisiaque.
Un accueil chaleureux, mais en roumain, sauf si la fille est présente, elle parler bien anglais.
Un escalier très raide mène aux chambres coquettes avec sanitaires et salles de bains privées, certaine d'entre elles possèdent un balcon avec une vue superbe sur le lac. A noter la télé dans la chambre avec au moins France 24...
La partie commune est comme chez soi.
Palinka, affinata, vin roumain, on peut même en redemander.
Le repas du soir est très bien cuisiné, pas toujours assez copieux, mais qui débute par une excellente soupe variée d'un jour à l'autre, copieuse, typique. Excellente soupe au canard. Riche Puis un plat avec des légumes, un sublime poisson farci, je vous le laisse découvrir, demandez le si vous restez plusieurs jours, ce que je recommande.
La réalisation de ce plat est incroyable.
Il y a un jardin extraordinaire comme dans la chanson, une tonnelle, une balancelle, un accès au lac avec possibilité de faire de la barque gratuitement.
Un chien mignon comme tout, un vieux chat respectable, et deux jeunes chats fous qui ne demandent qu'à entrer en contact.
Enfin, on nous proposer même une excursion dans le delta sur un bateau. Nous ne la ferons pas, nous avons trouvé autre chose.
Allez, cerise sur le gâteau, le prix est très raisonnable. Qu'on y est bien !!

Problematic pension situated in the proximity of heavy industry

The pension itself is quite charming, with a beautiful indoor lobby covered with luscious plants. The outside garden looks also good with a gazebo and a swing.
The hosts, three women of three different characters. The youngest very approachable, sociable and extraordinary helpful, the middle aged lacks minimal politeness, does not answer to greetings and she is compulsively impolite, while the eldest politely distant. We felt unwelcomed.
The place is clean, but the quality of beds and linens is simply bad. The bathroom with toilet and showers is somehow claustrophobic, but manageable.
There is indeed a steep staircase which would be very inconvenient for people with somehow limited mobility.
In spite of the fact of being advertised as being situated in an idyllic location the pension lays in hell's end. The road of access of about 2 km is terrible, with potholes and even a stream crossing it. A total disaster for any car lower than an SUV. Consider a car wash. Then it is in the proximity of heavy industry and in immediate vicinity of post-communist settings. A totally decayed, polluted environment. One would need horse vision and elephant skin to ignore such realities. Admittedly unfair, because the hosts have managed to build a rather charming settlement.
Nonetheless, a pretty garden, a charming lobby, and a friendly and helpful host does not suffice, when so many other things are wrong.

Nothing good about it

I honestly do not understand the positive reviews! Where to start: the pension lays way way off. You need approximately 20 minutes by car from Tulcea centrum. The garden is nice, yeah and that's it. If you aren't good on foot, or have had a knee/hip surgery - don't go there: because there is a HIGH risk you won't get up, or down the stairs - in my life i have NEVER seen such steep stairs. Rooms are tiny, beds make a lot of noises everytime you move, and is just has this little bit of dirty feeling to it. Also you can hear the plumbing from the other rooms...i could count how often people went to the bathroom during the night. There was NO thaught of sleep! If you sort of could maybe ignore all the noises in the house, then you had houling and barking dogs outside the whole bloody night. And the bathroom...yuck! At least a shower curtain would have been nice to have. It is inexpenisive yes - HOWEVER we travelled 2 weeks, and almost all hotels and pensions were in this pricerange and were so much better, cleaner and qieter than this one!
